Was standing at the bus top this morning and my sister asks me if there are any famous people from Borneo. I was unsure of this so I googled it and you will never guess who came up. Only Jimmy Choo, that's who. So there's something that may just win you a pub quiz one day.

Operation Raleigh: Kit
I'm going to have to buy a load of equipment for Borneo. Rucksacks, sleeping bags etc. I've been checking out a few websites and these guys look good. Gear Zone they're called and they say that they supply the largest range of Outdoor Equipment at "unbeatable" prices to both experienced and inexperienced outdoor enthusiasts.
They sell both specialist and non-specialist equipment from over 60 of the leading Outdoor Manufacturers including The North Face, Berghaus, Terra Nova and Vango. They offer Cheap, Fast Postage to all customers and have a no quibbles return policy. Still a bit unsure about it all though. What do you think? Check them out on the link banner.

More about me

Hello, just realised that this may seem incrediably random to anyone who's accidently come across this blog. Some crazy woman talking about Borneo a lot and shouting at you to give her money. Well, I'm not really crazy, at least I don't think I am. To make you a bit more sure about this, here is a little picture of me. See, I don't look too serial-killerish. Anyway, I'm 18 I like eating cheesecake and drinking tea and watching crap films and reading Jane Austen. I play the piano rather bloody well, if I do say so and I'm in love with Colin Firth :)

Operation Raleigh: Bit More Info
Hello there. I'm gonna be spending a bit more time on this post then before trying to fill you in on the whole Borneo thing. Basically I'm taking a gap year and going to Borneo through this charity called Raleigh International (they sent Prince William to Chile don't you know) and for me to do this, I have to raise £3000 by any means possible. Well... almost any means possible. Anyway, I thought to set up this blog to make an appeal to whoever reads this to donate and donate generously. Raleigh International work all over the world with young people doing conservation projects and helping the enviroment etc. In Borneo I'll be checking on local fish populations (woo!) but scuba diving at the same time and climbing mountains and cuddling orang-utans and building houses and teaching children English. I'll try post some pictures that I was sent to give you a better picture of where I'm going. Please note: you are not donating to send me to Borneo, I have to send myself there, you are gonna be donating to Raleigh International itself via me (check them out: www.raleighinternational.org Anyway, I'm off. Post later. xxx

Operation Raleigh
Operation Raleigh is a charity that works with people aged 18-24, involving them in environmental projects all round the world. I will be going to Borneo with them in February 2007 to help with conservation projects in the Malaysian rainforest. I need to raise £3000 to do this. Can you help me?
